A score you can defend to the person who asked

Matching an investor to a brand is the consultant’s actual product. Done in someone’s head it cannot be reviewed, taught or handed over — and it cannot be charged for twice.

Match explain

  • Capital fit ₹ 18L–25L vs ₹ 20L ask

What breaks without it

Two pipelines and a mental index of who might suit whom. When a colleague asks why those two were matched, the reasoning exists only in one head, and the next person starts over.

How it works

Investor matchmaking, step by step

Build the investment profile

Capital band, preferred geography, category experience and readiness timeline, captured on the investor lead rather than in a proposal document.

State what the brand needs

The brand side carries its own requirements — investment range, territory availability, operator profile — so both sides of the match are records rather than opinions.

Score, and show the working

Matches are banded (Strong, Good, Fair) with the criteria that produced the band visible on the score itself. A reviewer sees the same reasoning the matcher did.

Track readiness, not just fit

A well-matched investor who is not ready is a different problem from a poor match. Readiness is tracked separately so the two are not confused in a pipeline review.

What you get

  • An investment profile per investor lead
  • Banded match scores with an explain view
  • A readiness view separate from fit
  • A shortlist you can send with its reasoning intact

Questions people ask

Is the scoring a black box?
No. Each match shows the criteria and how each one contributed. If you disagree with a band, you can see exactly which criterion produced it.
Can brands use matchmaking, or only consultants?
Both. A brand matches its own investor leads against its own requirements; a consultant matches across the brands they hold mandates for.
Do brands pay a matchmaking fee?
Not to us. Matchmaking is part of the platform; brands never pay a per-match fee to FranOpero.
What about the word "thesis"?
We call it an investment profile. It is what the investor can and will do — capital, geography, category, timeline — not a document about strategy.
